Bye Bye Blast Ball

Tonight we had our last Blast Ball for the season. Cody and Owen did very well. Cody was so proud, he caught 6 balls tonight, 5 in his hands and one to the face. After Cody got pegged in the face, all the parents held their breath and it was quiet. Of course, three seconds later Cody looked over at us and started crying. The boy's ball that hit Cody, who was the biggest, hardest hitter on the team, came over and apologized to Cody and then walked off crying himself. I felt more sorry for that kid than Cody. Anyways, Cody's a tough kid and got back out there and played more ball. Overall, the boys had fun and learned a lot. It took a little bit for Owen to warm up to the coaches and the idea of playing, but when he did play he had fun, not to mention, he's a pretty darn good hitter. We can't forget about little Elle, she did so well the entire season. She loves being outside in the fresh air. I honestly don't think she ever cried or slept while we were at the park.
